Today I broke down on a trip to the music store and -- as a guilty pleasure -- purchased the new Avril Lavigne album The Best Damn Thing. I've seen mixed reviews on it but have enjoyed the throwback quality of the current song "Girlfriend" in rotation.
I thoroughly enjoyed the her first album, Let Go, for it's spun and carefree attitude. And although her second album, Under My Skin, received mixed reviews like the new one, I enjoyed the darker mood -- as well as the great videos that accompanied it.
I'll give the new one a listen and post a review here once I have a chance to give it a fair listen and have it soak in some. And while in the Spirit of All Things Avril, I've included some images that can be enlarged and saved/set as wallpaper. Enjoy!
